2026 TGBA DOE SCHOLARSHIP POINT SYSTEM
Scholarships are awarded based on points earned at State Fair of Texas, Grandstand, San Angelo, San Antonio, and Austin doe shows. Points will be accumulated and totaled at the conclusion of the final doe show. The top 20 individual exhibitors will receive scholarships from TGBA. Points will be acquired in each individual class based on placing, number of does in class, and the number of placements each show awards.
EXAMPLE CLASSES:
CLASS 1 HAS 44 DOES. THE SHOW PLACES 10 DOES.
- 1ST PLACE – 44 POINTS
- 2ND PLACE – 43 POINTS
- 3RD PLACE – 42 POINTS
- 4TH PLACE – 41 POINTS
- 5TH PLACE – 40 POINTS
- 6TH PLACE – 39 POINTS
- 7TH PLACE – 38 POINTS
- 8TH PLACE – 37 POINTS
- 9TH PLACE – 36 POINTS
- 10TH PLACE – 35 POINTS
CLASS 12 HAS 5 DOES. THE SHOW PLACES 3 DOES.
- 1ST PLACE – 5 POINTS
- 2ND PLACE – 4 POINTS
- 3RD PLACE – 3 POINTS
At the end of the year, points from each show will be added together. Any tie will be broken by: most shows attended and/or highest placing animals.
The point system is tied to the exhibitor, not the does.

- $1000 6TH – 10TH PLACE EXHIBITOR
- $750 11TH-15TH PLACE EXHIBITOR
- $500 16TH – 20TH PLACE EXHIBITOR

TGBA DOE SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
1. Scholarships are awarded to individuals that accumulate points at State Fair of Texas, Grandstand, San Angelo, San Antonio and Rodeo Austin, Commercial Doe/ Wether Doe Shows starting with 2025 shows. Points are accumulated by exhibitors and added to their total each year. Scholarships are capped at $15,000 per exhibitor.
2. Doe scholarship award winners are required to fill out doe scholarship application form each year by May 1st of year scholarship is awarded. This form will include but is not limited to: age, grade in school, projected graduation day, elementary, junior high or high school attending, ag teacher or county agent name and contact information, address, email, phone number of scholarship winner and both parents or guardians. Top 5 scholarship award winners may be asked to fill out additional information for promotional purposes.
3. Scholarships will be awarded directly to the secondary school that the scholarship recipient attends after high school graduation. There is no limitation on the type of school or location of the school.
4. Scholarship award winners will be capped at $15,000. After high school graduation award winners with $10,000- $15,000 will be awarded equal payments for 6 semesters. Scholarship award winners with $5000-$9,999 will be awarded payments of equal value for 4 semesters. Scholarship award winners with $2500-$4,999 will be awarded payments of equal value for 2 semesters. Scholarship award winners with less than $2499 will receive one payment. Payments can be deferred to next semester if needed. Payments can be accelerated with board approval for degrees that require less semesters for graduation or certification.
